Leah Griffin honored her parents with a most elaborate wedding ceremony with the reception following.

A tree-planting ceremony to honor presidents was initiated. The first scholarship award was made, and a year-round health program was launched.

Anna Drawhorn, Griffin PTA president, presided over the ceremony. The tribute and dedication were made by Tyler School Superintendent E. N. Dennard. Invocation and dedication prayer were given by the Rev. V. L. Brown, pastor of the St. James C. M.
